Big party in Sri Lanka

Hello friends,
Special for our friends in Sri Lanka, and some other country’s, the first part of this trip in English.
(The Dutch versie on 10 decmeber)
In NEGOMBO we have the warming up for our tour in Sri Lanka. It is for us a busy time because many friends from this country want to have an appointment with us. We like it very much !
Special in this time around 5 december, because we have the brithday of Chandra (Dilka’s mother), birthday of Dilka and Theo. So a good reason for a big party.
In Sri Lanka they don’t have the ceremonie of Sinterklaas, the western ceremonie for children.
And it is a happy day at 5th December when Dilka’s family come to our hotel to make party and buffet with 10 together. Very good, Dilka and Hirantha like it very much, even also the rest of the family.
The following day we have diner outside the hotel together with our friend from 17 years ago, mr Jayaradne, with his family, together with the minister of textile and his family.
Jacky’s sister Annie is very well this trip and likes Sri Lanka very much, she is the first time in this country.
Now we traveled to the middle of the country and we visit POLONARRUWA the old city, and in SYGIRIYA the famous rock.
On the way we visit of course the elephant orphanage in PINNAWELA where it is an fantastic view the many many elephants with the baby’s bathing in the river.
In HABARANA we make an elephant safari. Fantastic in the nature and jungle and through rivers, we see many births on that place.
On the end it is very special when the rains begins and heavy tropical rains make t like an elephant rafting tour.
Till now a very god trip, and now we go to KANDY, together with our driver Andrew, we know him from tsunami period, and well know because his activities to look for mothers from adopted children. Till now he brings 27 children to their mothers.
In KANDY many rain, but although we have good trip and see many interesting things.
